Knox County is home to seventeen high school football programs, hundreds of players, and a whole community of families who show up on Friday nights, week after week, season after season. We think that deserves real, dedicated coverage.

Where good high school sports coverage exists, it usually comes with a subscription, a paywall, or a membership. We understand why. Covering sports well takes real time and effort. But we do not think knowing whether your team won on Friday should come with a price tag.

So here is what we are doing instead. KnoxCoSports exists to cover every Knox County high school football program, all seventeen of them, for free. Real scores, updated by hand as games go final. Team schedules you can actually find. Stories about the players and teams that make this county worth rooting for.

We are doing this because we live here, and we care about this area and what high school football means to it. Friday nights matter in Knox County. The kids on the field matter. The parents in the stands matter. We wanted to make sure none of that was ever locked behind a login or a credit card.

This site starts with football and will grow from there if it earns your trust. No catch, no paywall, just a genuine effort to serve this community the way we think it deserves.
